about us

The Great Lakes International Antique Fire Apparatus Association (GLIAFAA) is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and appreciation of antique fire apparatus and firefighting history. Our mission is to honor the legacy of firefighters and the equipment that has served communities for generations.

Founded by passionate collectors, historians, and firefighting enthusiasts, GLIAFAA brings together individuals who share a love for vintage fire trucks, firefighting memorabilia, and the rich history of emergency services. Our members include retired and active firefighters, collectors, and history buffs who work to keep these historic vehicles alive for future generations to admire and learn from.

We host and participate in events, parades, exhibitions, and educational programs throughout the Great Lakes region. Whether showcasing restored fire trucks or sharing the stories behind these incredible machines, we strive to keep the tradition and heroism of firefighting alive.

Join GLIAFAA to connect with fellow enthusiasts, access exclusive resources, and be part of a community that celebrates the history and heritage of fire apparatus.
